ABSTRAK

Kajian ini bertujuan meneliti hubungan antara minat pelajar terhadap bahasa Arab dan keberkesanan pengajaran guru dengan tahap kemahiran pelajar dalam menggunakan maʿānī ḥurūf al-jarr. Data yang diperolehi dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) versi 22.0. Reka bentuk kajian menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif dengan analisis tabulasi silang dan menggunakan ujian Fisher’s Exact bagi mengenalpasti hubungan statistik antara pemboleh ubah. Dapatan inferensi kajian menunjukkan terdapat perkaitan signifikan antara kedua-dua faktor tersebut dengan tahap kemahiran pelajar. Korelasi faktor minat terhadap tahap kemahiran pelajar (p = 0.004, n = 100). Manakala, korelasi faktor keberkesanan pengajaran guru terhadap kemahiran pelajar (p = 0.018, n = 100). Hubungan antara minat pelajar dan kemahiran didapati berada pada tahap sederhana (V = 0.313), manakala hubungan antara keberkesanan pengajaran guru dan kemahiran pelajar berada pada tahap lemah tetapi signifikan (V = 0.277). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahawa minat pelajar berperanan penting dalam meningkatkan penguasaan tatabahasa Arab, khususnya aspek maʿānī ḥurūf al-jarr, manakala keberkesanan pengajaran guru turut menyumbang walaupun dengan kesan yang lebih kecil. Kajian ini menegaskan keperluan untuk menyeimbangkan antara faktor dalaman pelajar dan pendekatan pedagogi guru bagi memperkukuh pembelajaran bahasa Arab secara menyeluruh.

 

ABSTRACT

This study aims to examine the relationship between students’ interest in the Arabic language and teachers’ teaching effectiveness with students’ level of skill in using maʿānī ḥurūf al-jarr. The data obtained were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0. The research design employed a quantitative method with cross-tabulation analysis and Fisher’s Exact Test to identify the statistical relationships between variables. The inferential findings indicate a significant association between both factors and students’ skill levels. The correlation between students’ interest and skill level was found to be significant (p = 0.004, n = 100), while the correlation between teachers’ teaching effectiveness and students’ skill level was also significant (p = 0.018, n = 100). The relationship between students’ interest and skill was of moderate strength (V = 0.313), whereas the relationship between teachers’ teaching effectiveness and students’ skill was weak but significant (V = 0.277). These results indicate that students’ interest plays a crucial role in enhancing mastery of Arabic grammar, particularly in the aspect of maʿānī ḥurūf al-jarr, while teachers’ teaching effectiveness also contributes, albeit to a lesser extent. The study emphasizes the need to balance students’ internal factors and teachers’ pedagogical approaches to strengthen Arabic language learning holistically.
