Abstract

Program Ulul Albab merupakan program pendidikan di peringkat menengah yang dianjurkan oleh pelbagai agensi dan institusi di Malaysia. Sistem Pendidikan MRSM Ulul Albab atau SPMRSMUA merupakan program pendidikan yang ditawarkan oleh BPM MARA (Bahagian Pendidikan menengah MARA-Bahagian Pendidikan Menengah MARA). Program ini memfokuskan kepada penjanaan generasi Ulul Albab melalui pelaksanaan tiga domain yang dikenali sebagai Quranic, Ensiklopedik dan Ijtihadik. Program Ulul Albab dilihat sebagai program pendidikan yang berkembang secara progresif. Setiap tahun MARA memperuntukkan sejumlah besar peruntukan kewangan untuk menambah bilangan MRSM Ulul Albab di seluruh Malaysia. Bagi memenuhi tuntutan masyarakat untuk mengukuhkan pembangunan jasmani, emosi, rohani dan intelek yang seimbang dalam kalangan generasi muda, MRSM Ulul Albab dilihat sebagai sebuah institusi yang mampu memenuhi keperluan tersebut. Salah satu keistimewaan program Ulul Albab daripada program pendidikan lain yang ditawarkan oleh BPM ialah program Tahfiz al-Quran. Selepas beroperasi lebih sedekad, penyelidik mendapati maklumat berkaitan program Ulul Albab masih tidak mencukupi. Masyarakat masih kurang jelas tentang konsep pelaksanaan program pendidikan Ulul Albab ini dan hanya melihat kelebihan program ini dari aspek hafazan al-Quran sahaja. Dalam usaha menyampaikan maklumat kepada masyarakat, pengkaji merasakan perlu didedahkan pelaksanaan program Ulul Albab dengan lebih jelas. Oleh itu, kajian kualitatif dengan pendekatan semakan dokumen telah dijalankan bagi memenuhi keperluan ini.

The Ulul Albab program is an education program at the secondary level organized by various agencies and institutions in Malaysia. Sistem Pendidikan MRSM Ulul Albab or SPMRSMUA is an education programs offered by the BPM MARA (Bahagian Pendidikan menengah MARA-MARA Secondary Education Division). This program focuses on generating of Ulul Albab generation through the implementation of three domains known as Quranic, Encyclopedic and Ijtihadik in their education program. The Ulul Albab program is seen as an educational program that develops progressively. Every year MARA allocates large sum of budget to increase the number of MRSM Ulul Albab all around Malaysia. In order to meet the community's demand to develop a balance physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual development among the young generations, the MRSM Ulul Albab is seen as an institution which capable to meet these requirements. One of the distinctive features of the Ulul Albab program from others education program offered by BPM is the Tahfiz al-Quran program. After operating over a decade, researchers found that the information related to the Ulul Albab program is still insufficient. The Malaysian community is still not clear about the implementation concept of this Ulul Albab education program and only sees the advantages of this program from the aspect of memorizing the Quran only. In an effort to convey information to the community, the researcher felt it was necessary to reveal the implementation of the Ulul Albab program more clearly. Therefore, a qualitative study with a document review approach was conducted to fulfill this requirement.
